Jordan Becker
Jordan Becker
With roots going back to a Saskatchewan grain farm and big-city experience gained while working in the Vancouver film industry, Jordan combines a unique blend of dedication and strong work ethic with a fun-loving, enthusiastic spirit. His clients benefit from the broad span of skills he’s acquired in construction and the film industry. The experience in construction, including high-end wood finishing, holds great value in the house-hunting and selling process, while the years spent training and working as a film actor and (briefly) stunt performer help greatly in any negotiation process, all while maintaining a level-headed approach in stressful situations.
Jordan cut his teeth on Real Estate with one of the top-producing brokerages in Vancouver in 2015. However, two years later, the call of adventure, island living, and the birth of his first daughter shifted his priorities, leading him to move to central Vancouver Island. He continues to love life there with his now two daughters and his dog, Lord Byron. In addition to selling real estate, Jordan has volunteered as a firefighter with Lantzville Fire Rescue since 2020.
“OK, got through the bio, but what’s he really like?” you might ask. Well, here’s a list of fun facts in no particular order. If this doesn’t paint a clear picture of me, let’s grab a coffee (see list below) and I’ll break it down for you:
- Detail-oriented, sometimes described as meticulous—likely a remnant from my wood finishing days.
- Motorcycle enthusiast—riding, fixing, building—you name it, if it has two wheels, I’m into it.
- Big fan of cinema. Can quote more movies than I should admit. If you want to hear why the first two Back to the Future films are the best ever made, just email me; I’ll send you my PowerPoint.
- Subpar skier, but what I lack in skill, I make up for in blind, unfounded confidence.
- Love giving back to my community. My hometown has a population of ~1,000 people, so finding and improving a ‘community feel’ is right up there with coffee for me. Hey, speaking of coffee—
- LOVE a good cup of coffee. Espresso, French press, Aeropress, percolator, instant over the campfire—I don’t care. I love it.
- Throughout my 20s in Vancouver, I challenged myself to try a new sport or activity every year. If I liked it, I kept it; if not, I dropped it in time for the next January. This led me to try skydiving, scuba diving, whitewater kayaking, rock climbing, and boxing, and guess what? I liked them all! Life is a bit busier now, but from time to time, you’ll still find me hurling myself out of a Cessna 12,000 feet up, 100 feet underwater looking for octopuses, or somewhere in the middle, partway up a rock wall, hoping there isn’t a large spider in the next handhold.
